Anxiety Therapy
Do you consistently feel worried or stressed, and need new ways to understand and combat the thoughts and feelings?
Anxiety Relief for the Thoughts that Keep Your Mind Racing
Do your worries take over your mind, spinning out of control?
Do you feel dread about upcoming events, or beat yourself up over past events, even when logically you know it’s wasted energy?
Are you sometimes exhausted by fears and obsessive thoughts that are getting in the way of living your fullest life?
You’re not alone—one-third of adults experience anxiety at some point in their lives. And while worry and anxiety are a realistic and even important part of life, when dealing with them affects your physical and mental health, it’s time to look into the issues further and learn where and when the emotions can be controlled. Anxiety can show up as body symptoms (including headaches, gastrointestinal issues, muscle pain, dizziness and high blood pressure), as thought problems (such as obsessive thoughts, brain fog, or cognitive distortions), as relationship disrupters and as professional impairments.
Anxiety can be controlled. While many approaches focus solely on changing your thought patterns, our method looks at your past (your experiences having either too little or too much control as a kid); your present (living in the moment and accepting both the good and the bad) and your future (channeling hope and faith in order to plan for better days ahead).
Over years of treating anxiety with techniques from CBT, DBT, ACT and NARM, we’ve crafted techniques that soothe both your mind and your body. This multi-dimensional lens will help you learn to examine and label your thoughts, relax and calm your body’s reactions, and find support from others (friends, family, support groups, therapists and clergy are a good starting place) to control worry.
Together, we can tame anxiety and see it as it really is: a tormenting bully that needs to be erased.
